Jeff Lang Tickets
Australian-based musician Jeff Lang has earned worldwide acclaim as a virtuosic guitarist, a dynamic songwriter and a startlingly unique live performer. Over the course of 16 studio albums, Jeff has blended rock, roots, folk, blues, ballads, instrumentals, improvisation and a devastatingly high level of musicality. Jeff Lang is a singularly unique performer in our world.

24 July 2018 - The Slaughtered Lamb, London

Never constrained by genre definitions, Jeff is not one to be easily pegged, though in a general sense it’s fair to say he largely trades in roots-oriented rock. He’s also a fluid collaborator as evidenced by his work with the likes of American blues-rocker Chris Whitley (RIP), Rajasthan’s desert-dwellers Maru Tarang and world music virtuoso Bobby Singh and Mali’s kora master Mamadou Diabate in the group Djan Djan. Jeff’s work with the latter won the 2010 ARIA (Australia’s Grammy) for Best World Music Album, while he and US guitar troubadour Bob Brozman took one home for Best Blues and Roots Music Album in 2002. Jeff received his third ARIA award for his album Carried In Mind in 2012.

Jeff has shared stages with Bob Dylan, Dr. John, Richard Thompson, Bonnie Raitt, Ani Di Franco, Chris Whitley, Debashish Bhattacharya, Loudon Wainwright III, Greg Brown, John Butler, AR Rahman, Harry Manx and Bob Geldolf, among many others, and has delivered show-stopping performances at festivals all across the globe: Glastonbury, The Dublin Blues Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Quebec City Music Festival, Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Fuji Rock, Echo Park China, Ottawa BluesFest as well as on his home turf at Port Fairy, Woodford, Bluesfest Byron Bay and Womadelaide.
“We’re treated to moody atmospheric textures, ripping electric lap-steel riffs, delicate acoustic picking, trippy backwards leads, oddball percussion, throbbing tremolo, and unconventional lyrics – all of which Lang blends like some crazed sonic alchemist.”
Andy Ellis, Guitar Player Magazine, US
“Lang whipped up a sonic frenzy by song's end, with reverberating, colliding sounds that chattered the bones. Other songs like "London" and "Molasses and Stone" steamed ahead with unsettling but sweet melancholies of love and longing.”
Anchorage Daily News, US

Australian singer-songwriter Jeff Lang has built a reputation for startlingly original performances. While Lang will talk of his admiration for the elemental blues of Skip James, the raw gospel of Blind Willie Johnson, the devastating guitar work of Jimi Hendrix, the masterful slide guitar of Ry Cooder, and the sublime songwriting of Bob Dylan and Richard Thompson, comparisons to these artists fails to paint an adequate picture. Jeff Lang is critically acclaimed as a truly great guitar player. Read more on
