Electronica Legends The Orb Return For Late Night Liverpool Appearance

The Orb Tickets
Legendary ambient house progenitors and international club favourites The Orb are set to return to East Village Arts Club in Liverpool on Saturday 29th March for a special late night show.

With dancefloor friendly chart hits like ‘Little Fluffy Clouds’ and ‘Toxygene’, alongside more experimental works like 17 minute classic 'Blue Room' from the 'U.F.Orb' album, The Orb were at the forefront of ambient house, securing their place as icons in the electronic music history books.

Having collaborated with everyone from Nine Inch Nails to Pink Floyd's David Gilmore, The Orb are still seriously in demand, and continue to produce top-notch original material, but their euphoria-inducing sound really comes to life on stage.

Don't miss these ambient dance legends at the Arts Club.

The Orb (sometimes credited as simply Orb) is a British electronic music band known for pioneering the genre of ambient house. The Orb is heavily influenced by dub music, and much of their later output has been in the electronic dub category, more so than ambient house. The group was formed in 1988 by Dr. Alex Paterson (full name Duncan Robert Alex Paterson) and Jimmy Cauty (one half of The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu and later The KLF). The Orb's first release was the acid house anthem "Tripping on Sunshine". Read more about The Orb on
